I learned my lesson the hard way that toddlers don't understand sarcasm. (Ok, a lot of adults don't either, unfortunately). Abigail was being a sass one night at bedtime and said that she could "do everything all by myself. EVERYTHING." I said, "Ok, then drive yourself to school in the morning". Well, little did I know, she would remember that comment the next morning and then pitched a fit that she couldn't drive. I told her she had to be 16. Her response, "Well you not 16." Hmm. Very true.
Well to make a long story short, every single morning, she asks if she can drive my car. (This has been going on for over a week now). Today, she asked if she could drive the Jeep instead. She is SO independent. Hmm, wonder where she gets that from?! :-)
